Police probe vandalism of British lawmaker's car

<div id="subtitle">British lawmaker's car vandalized as she canvasses her Manchester constituency</div><div><p>Police say they are investigating after a former Cabinet minister's car was vandalized as she went door to door talking to constituents.</p><p>Greater Manchester Police says Hazel Blears' parked car had all of its tires slashed and its windshield smashed Sunday evening. No one was injured or arrested.</p><p>Blears called the vandalism "a bit pathetic." She dismissed the idea that the vandals were targeting her personally.</p><p>Blears in June resigned as communities secretary in Prime Minister Gordon Brown's Cabinet after being caught up in the excessive-expenses scandal sweeping Parliament. She paid more than 13,000 pounds ($21,000) in improperly avoided taxes on the sale of a home that had been subsidized by taxpayers.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=56460689&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
